I am a Rosenwald Postdoctoral Fellow in U.S. Foreign Policy and International Security at Dartmouth and an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Missouri State University. My current book project examines when political leaders use national humiliation narratives as a political strategy and the unintended effects of these narratives and the emotions they evoke on foreign policy preferences. I completed my doctoral studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Joint B.A./M.A. in global studies with political science as my second undergraduate major and a minor in Chinese.
